RAIL:  Out 4m
TRACK: Good 4 as of Friday midday

8 – Concealer; McEvoy/Kah
$5 best price at time of print

Has been finishing in sit and sprint affairs during last prep. Is 1 from 1 at track and distance. Kah placed on the horse in a group 3 over the Melb Carnival only beaten 0.2 of a length. Carries 56kg against some older more seasoned horses comes into this with no exposed trial. Has raced over longer sprints since and returns to the scene of its maiden win in group 3 company beating Prompt Response that day. Expecting Nasdex to inject pace with the handy runners chasing the Zahra bunny giving the mid to back runners the late run on.

Backing Concealer to win. If it were to rain the we will be dutching with Sunday escape.

5 – Kings Will Dream; Weir/Zahra
$2.1 best price at time of print

3 from 3 in Australia sits on the pace and wins in faster final 600m sectionals. Steps up a furlong again and goes out to the 1800m for the first time.Zahra rode stablemate Gailo Chop to victory over 1800m. And has won at Flemington 4 times in recent weeks. All in all this looks a good combo with the right horse.Should start in red odds.

The place runner:
6 – Wheal Leisure; Alexander/Yendal
$1.80 place best price at time of print

Obviously committed to this horse yendall rode Kings Will Dream to his first up win. Was well supported first up 18 into 10s against Silent sedition in the mannerism where the pace of the race was unsuitable.Yendal has ridden this horse to a win and a placing in better company over staying journeys. Watch for market leads.

Backing Kings Will Dream to win.
Betting the place Wheal Leisure should be value in the place pool as punters chase a place bet with the favourite,  stifling betting.

12 – Notio; Hawkes/Dunn
$5 best price at time of print

Weighted well despite placing last three runs. Comes back 200m from mile to 1400m and made a sustained run last start but peaked.Gets a 2kg turnaround on downhearted.Should be rock hard fit now down on the minimum with regular rider Dwayne Dunn on board. beaten by Kings Will Dream last start and looks to get a gun run off the speed at his second turn at Flemington.

The Danger :
6 – Portman; O’Brien/Oliver
$3.80 best price at time of print

Record reads 8-2-2-2 at track. Oliver rides this second up over the 1400m and may start under 4.50 if stable confidentHas won and placed 2nd up previously. And would like to see this horse sweeping fom the 600 given an uninterupted run with the 57.5kg.

The Lay:
9 – Downhearted; Price/Dee (PLACE)
$2.45 best price to lay at time of print

Place laying due to 3kg weight rise and drop back in distance not suitable for the track. Ratings are also too poor for this group.

Backing Notio and Portman for an equal return. Boxing a quinella with Tiamo Grace.
Laying Downhearted the place.

Set weights Sires over the 1400

Several runners in this race are not well weighted on performances. We are happy to sit this one out. Was leaning toward Sanctimonious but the jockey has not ridden a winner at the Flemington course in last two months. We are keen to see betting around the Hawkes/Dunn Outrageous as he has good record around good two year olds in Sydney.

No bet. Watch only.

7 – Pallazzo Vechio; Price/Oliver
$6/$2.38 best price at time of print

Was unlucky not to win last start at Caulfield (watch the video yourselves – if you followed us it was a huge result as we laid the winner and had PV at $11). Really see its pattern of racing to be suited by the homestraight length at Flemington. Oliver goes on who can judge Flemington well. Price and Oliver are 3 for 3 at Flemington in last 3 weeks.

The Smokey:
15 – French Girl; McDonald/Walker
$31/$8.50 best price at time of print

Won its maiden over 1419m by 2.5 lengths. Walker has 3/4 recent wins on rides for McDonald. And will be looking to place bet more heavily.

Backing Pallazzo Vechio Each Way 1:4
Backing French Girl. Each Way 1:4

15 – Catchy; Hayes/Parish
$11/$3.7 best price at time of print

Gets in with 50kgs and has the important gear change of winkers going back on for the 2nd up tilt where it is undefeated. Reads two starts for one win at distance having finished 18th in the Coolmore with Bowman riding. Will be going each way in a great field.\

The Danger:
2 – Brave Smash; Weir/Williams
$7.5/$2.88 best price at time of print

Brave Smash never been to the track has rated highly on win last start and comes down in weight. Williams to ride again a lot to like.Does he reproduce down the straight 6?

The Lay:
1 – Redkirk Warrior; Hayes/Bayliss
$6.50 best price to lay at time of print

Redkirk Warrior rates highly but mixes his first up second up form. Has in this grade , aced flat after winning first up going up in weight and would suggest that its a safe bet to lay…

Backing Catchy each way 2:1

Backing Brave Smash 1:2
Laying Redkirk Warrior to cover bets on race.

3  – Samovare; Hayes/Oliver
$3 best price at time of print

Rises to the 1600m in mares grade raced well over the 1400m last start.Has won both goes at distance at other tracks and placed at Flemington in 1400m events. Sat off pace and looks to do the same on Saturday.Only got 54kg.

Backing Samovare to win

3 – Ambitious; Freedman/Lane
$21/$5 best price available at time of print

Ran 4th in the Tenno Show; Japan – could just be too good for these first up. And is targeting taking on Winx in Sydney. There was early specking in distance markets a month ago.First start in oz. Worth a site at the price…

12 – Devise; Ritchie/C.Schofield
$21/$5 best price available at time of print

A “could be anything” for mine and was an impressive last start winner in the guineas in NZ.Was freshened up and brought back to the mile after narrowly going down two starts ago. Has 3 year old staying form around Bonneval.

Backing Ambitious each way

Backing Devise each way

6 – Twilight Song; Hayes/Bayliss

Wins again dropping four kilos today. Ran good time with weight comes back in distance and looks well placed by Hayes for three in a row.

Backing Twilight Song each way
