Warwick Farm – 7th March

March 7

Tip Navigation

RAIL:  +5m 1000m-W/Post; +3m Remainder
TRACK: Soft 5

Difficult race, only little exposed wet form barrier trial form muddling at best.

2 – Lileth: Denham/Collet
Won last start trialled in-between with an apprentice 7 days ago on the heavy. Winning jockey onboard. Goes up 2.5kgs.

10 – Glamour Cruise: Waterhouse/Clark
First start placed on heavy8 at Canterbury over leading. Winner ran a second faster than the three-year olds that day. Adjust the times and glamor cruise would have been in first three over line in three year old race. Horse was unwanted in betting 8.5 out to 11. Josh Parr rode it that day. Clark had been trialling has placed and won trials leading into this. Clark goes on and has a great recent strike rate with Gai.6 wins 3 placings from 13 rides.

Will be backing Lileth 1:3 and backing Global Cruise 1:3

6 – Boorooj: Snowden/Mcevoy
Returns to a wet track with weight relief and a new jockey. Primed with two trials one on heavy. This distance first up looks ideal at 55kg with Mcevoy for Snowden. Won its maiden in Melbourne on slow. And went on to 7 furlongs in listed grade but didn’t come up. Would suggest firming betting lines will tell the tale as whether to invest on runner.

5 – Tarabai: Hawkes/Avdulla
This horse has no exposed wet form. Interested in runner as it has been racing off pace and the 1200 at Warwick Farm should suit. Was beaten by a handy horse in Sheika last start. And on times on good surfaces rates well. Again would expect this to drift and then firm late.

Trying to grab a place bet on Tarabai at around $2.50 and also backing Boorooj to win.

No bet but watching to see these horses over the mile many nominated for oaks or derby.

8 – Balius: Neale/Overmire
Won twice at the mile good record in the wet. With the two kilo claim should be a strong place chance. Won fourth up from a spell last prep. Down in class from last run and was supported with a 20% market move through betting.

Backing Each Way 1:2

4 – Ataraxia: Cummings/Mcevoy
Resumes over the 1400 a winner at distance previously. Was gelded during spell and handles rain affected tracks. Unimpressive in barrier trials last won at Warwick farm in open company and resumes tomorrow in a BM75.Think this horse will take a sit and be right in this at the furlong.

Backing Ataraxia E/W

4 – Bravissimo: Bridge/McDougall
This horse has won at the track and trialled at Warwick farm on a heavy surface. Faces the 1200m 2moz first up. By this stage of the day the cut will be out of the track. Has won on heavy.

Backing Bravissimo heavier the place 1:4
